SmartWool Hiking Socks Reviews

SmartWool Socks Smart Choice

I had been looking for a pair of warm socks for below freezing temperatures days that I go hiking with my dog. A few weeks of 10 F and I realized my regular socks just weren’t cutting it, even with good boots!

At first glance the sticker price seemed ridiculously high for a single pair of socks, but I can honestly say they are worth the price and I’m glad I made the purchase! It was 5 degrees today and for the first time in a long time, my feet were warm the entire walk! Very comfy!

The sizes run just about right. I wear a 9-9.5 in US woman’s shoes. The label says to go with a medium; however at the retail store I was advised to go with a large (US woman’s 10 and up), and they do seem to be a tad big. Maybe they’ll shrink?

I will definitely be investing in more pairs! Best pair of socks I can ever remember wearing!

SmartWool Socks Last for years!

The price seems high, but they’re worth every penny–extremely well made and durable. Very warm, but never itchy or sweaty. Elastic holds well but is not tight. I have four pairs, and they’ve lasted over five years (I’ve stopped counting). I keep my thermostat at 60 degrees and I wear a pair every day from October – March, so I’m guessing each pair has been worn over 200 times–and they’re still as strong and warm as ever. A real quality product, and a blessing for anyone who hates having cold feet. I’m tempted to purchase these at the sale price for future use, even though I don’t need them yet!

SmartWool Socks Great

I bought these socks for the first time. They are wonderful. I don’t know how I have gotten by without them. I can guarantee I will never buy any other kind of winter sock. Warm and comfortable. Buy these socks, you won’t regret it. Well worth the money.

SmartWool Socks Reviews

SmartWool Socks Comfort and Function

I have worn these to wear in some seasonal hiking boots and on two hikes up above 10,000′. Kept me warm and comfortable – blister free [with liner socks thrown in]. Best hiking socks I now own, and I own several pairs [my Bridgesdales are now second, a close second]. Socks like these are a must have on colder hikes, and helped with the pounding the elevation gain and rocks gave [with mediocre boots].

SmartWool Socks Excellent

I use this sock for winter running or for cold nights that we occasionally get in Virginia. I have even been known to wander around outside in the morning with these and my sheepskin slippers when its 18F outside. My feet remain toasty warm but not too hot.

My socks are entering thier second year and are showing wear. They do pill and wear, but that is more a function of wool products than the manufacture.

If you work outside or need a warm sock, try a Smart Wool sock. This is thier warmest sock.

SmartWool Socks Good Buy

These socks are phenomenal. I bought them because I wanted a really warm sock and I got exactly what I asked for. They are great for hiking in cold weather, but to be honest, I use them even more when I’m just sitting around my house on a cold night. They have great cushioning and are really a pleasure to wear. Not the most attractive looking piece of clothing the world has ever seen, but you don’t exactly wear these for how they look. I would HIGHLY recommend these for anyone who lives in a cold climate and ever gets cold feet in the winter.

SmartWool Saturnsphere Socks Reviews

SmartWool Saturnsphere Socks Love them

I own four pair of Smartwool socks and am now addicted to them. I teach school and wear Dansko clogs…the best combination of footwear comfort imaginable!

These socks come in several heights…you will need to find what is best for your needs. I have the boot socks (aka knee socks) and they come up higher than the others. The crew socks are perfect with jeans and clogs and I love the colors!!! The color combinations from Smartwool are amazing. Their design team deserves kudos.

The Saturn sock is my favorite of them all. It is cushioned on the bottom more than my others and the colors are WOW! In fact, I bought two pair, I loved them so much.

OH…I always get holes in the toes of my socks from the friction of my clogs against the top of my toenail…BUT NOT with Smartwool!

Are they traded on the NYSE? I want to buy stock if so. If you don’t think socks are worth $15 per pair, you might want to challenge yourself. I have worn Eddie Bauer socks for years and they are NICE, but they don’t hold a candle to Smartwool.

SmartWool Saturnsphere Socks Great Price

I love these socks– they’re my current favorites. I have them in several colors and wear them all the time.

I work on my feet (nursing) and tend to wear clogs. I don’t get blisters with smartwool, and my feet are happy even at the end of a 12-hour shift. I perfer the padded kind like the saturn, but even with the padding they’re not so thick I can’t wear them with most of my shoes.

SmartWool Socks For Women Very good

I purchased these as a gift and she loved them so much that I bought a pair for me. Smartwool socks are wonderful. They feel so good, fit great and are a lightweight sock that keeps you warm during Winter running.
